Lone Star Ag Credit Supports Dallas Co. Farm Day

Lone Star, ACA (Lone Star Ag Credit) was proud to support the Dallas County Farm Day, a free educational event for public, private and home school 4th graders in Dallas County. 

Dallas Co. Farm Day took place May 11th through the 13th at Resistol Arena in Mesquite, Texas. It was divided into six learning stations that show facts related to farm and ranch production. Seeing and touching agricultural commodities are part of the learning experience for the kids who attended. The stations included: dairy, poultry, urban forestry, natural fibers, cereal grains and farm animals. This year 2,325 students attended along with 241 teachers and chaperones. Over the 3 days of the event 88 volunteers gave their time to make it happen.

The goal of Farm Day goes hand in hand with the ideals of Lone Star Ag Credit, to help urban students learn about the important interdependence between urban and agricultural populations.  

For more than 90 years, Lone Star Ag Credit has been a reliable source of financing for rural America.  Lone Star Ag Credit is glad to be a part of programs like Dallas County Farm Day.
