Lone Star Ag Credit Announces New Chief Credit Officer

Fort Worth, Texas - Lone Star, ACA (Lone Star Ag Credit), the premier agricultural lender in North Texas, would like to announce the new appointment of Troy Bussmeir as chief credit officer for the association.  Bussmeir, a native of Washington state, has 11 years experience in the Farm Credit System and most recently served as the vice president and association relationship manager for Farm Credit Bank of Texas where he was responsible for overseeing the lending relationship between Farm Credit Bank of Texas and its affiliated associations. 

“We are proud to have Troy join the Lone Star Ag Credit team. His expertise in our industry is top-notch and we know he will be an asset to our association,” said Bruce Duncan, Lone Star Ag Credit Chairman of the Board. 

In February, Lone Star named Steve Fowlkes as the chief executive officer of the association.  Fowlkes and Bussmeir worked together at Farm Credit Bank of Texas.

“Lone Star believes that the pairing of Steve and Troy will be a tremendous advantage to our association.  These two men have the background, knowledge and experience that will benefit our cooperative and our stockholders,” said Duncan.
